Girl Scouts and G.I.R.L. Power

Alexis is a Girl Scout Ambassador, and she’s also a leader for her council’s G.I.R.L. Squad, where the girls get to take over the Council’s Instagram, write blogs cover events like a journalist!

Alexis is currently pursuing her Gold Award project, Code Girls, History Revealed, to teach young ladies about the women in WWII who were Code Breakers for the U.S military. She hopes that by sharing this recently declassified historical knowledge, she will encourage other girls to pursue STEM opportunities.

Addressing our Nation’s Capital Girl Scouts and Leadership at the Annual Meeting. Loved the support and encouragement for my Gold Award project!

Girl Scout G.I.R.L. Power

I definitely believe in the G.I.R.L. Power!

Alexis with Dot Braden

I was very excited to meet Dot Braden, a real life Code Girl from Liza Mundy’s book! I want to share this information with younger girls so that they are inspired to stay in STEM.
